DSI TAD Accessories include Gurin locks and NiTi closed coil springs both of which are ideal for TAD mini screws procedures. Gurin locks are perfect for adjustable or tie-back stop applications, spring activation, or for the prevention of wire migration. The Gurin locks are also excellent for tight spots that cannot adapt a tie-back bend in an archwire, or in tight spaces between wide molar attachments. The NiTi closed coil springs deliver gentle, continuous forces for teeth movement without causing periodontal stress. The springs help to close the space of individual tooth retraction, distal movement of teeth, and traction on impacted teeth. The use of the springs does not require cooperation from the patient, as does the interaction of elastic ligatures.
DSI Gurin Lock has small proportions, which is why it does not cause any discomfort to the patient and does not felt by the patient when applied to the wires. The Gurin Locks are made from high-quality stainless steel. They have excellent compatibility in the moist oral environment, incredible durability, and overtime wire stability.

The eyelets on the springs are made with special diameters, smooth edges, and round holes for easy attachment to the hooks on the brackets and DSI mini-screws.
The Gurin lock is fixed into place by positioning the slotted bolt over the archwire and tightening the nut over it.
